I found this article very interesting! I come from German decent so I was happy to learn that there is a large population of people who share this in common with me. I had no idea how much the German culture affects the American culture. I have a friend who just returned from a semester abroad in Germany, and while his pictures of his trip display a town much different from the ones I see here in the states, the culture and attitude of the people of the people that lived there that he described to me does not sound much different than our own. I look forward to learning more about the German culture in this course, I'm considering doing my semester abroad there too!
