I appreciate reading about the German culture in this context in that I feel that I too can be extremely blunt and complain a lot while also being very stubborn, but like the Germans, I think I do a decent job of recognizing and admitting these traits. I believe I am a nice person but I don’t think it necessary to pretend to want to go out with my friends and make an excuse when I can just say “No thanks, I don’t want to.” I feel that without being of German descent I have inherited more than my share of German personality; hopefully it is my complaining and glaring eyes that help me out with the language as well.
