I found the reading to be quite interesting (reading the whole thing with Christopher Walken's voice in my head made it even more interesting and entertaining...haha). I always knew Germans formed a sizable portion of the immigrant base way back then along with Italians and Irish, but I never knew they had such an enormous influence on American popular culture. It's rather unfortunate that such an influential group had become so soft-spoken. I would have liked them to be remembered for what they have given us.
